CONTACT USAlstons have been in the furniture trade for 150 years. They are very proud of their excellent quality, British-made products and impeccable service. Alstons, a family business run by the fifth generation, were originally master cabinet makers by trade and expanded into upholstery in the 1950s.
Their collection of sofas is modern, beautiful, and will stand the demands of daily life. Alston’s collections are attractively designed and comfortable and echo their strapline ‘Sofas for Living.’
Their fabric choices range from modern cotton weaves to luxurious velvets and chenille’s in vibrant colours and soft textures to meet today’s changing fashions. The fabric selection has over 350 interchangeable materials from some of Europe’s finest mills.
Each fabric is chosen with a particular furniture model in mind to work perfectly with the curves, depth and defining features of each sofa or chair style.
The furniture is made to order in their Colchester factory by a team of highly skilled craftsmen. Most of whom have trained and worked at Alstons for years.
Lexi Sofas, Sofa Beds and Chairs
Lexi is a slim sofa with petite proportions and a narrow footprint – ideal for modern homes where space is at a premium.
The collection has narrow arms and elegantly tapered wood or brushed steel legs which gives it a contemporary edge and creates the illusion of space.
This is a compact and comfortable range of sofas, available as 2-seater or 3-seater options, and 2-seater and 3-seater sofa beds. There are three chairs – an armchair, an accent chair and an armless chair.
Additions to the range include an ottoman with low feet and a legged ottoman, plus a storage stool and a footstool.
There are several leg options on the range including low and high, light and dark wood, and steel.
Poppy Sofas, Chairs and Sofa beds
Poppy is a modern collection of sofas (2 and 3-seater), sofa beds (2 and 3-seater) and chairs. It has a lovely small scroll arm design, and the collection has been designed for the more modest sized home.
The seat cushions are slimmer but very comfortable, and there is a choice of low and high leg options in steel as well as light and dark wood.
The range includes an ottoman with low feet; an ottoman with high legs; a footstool and a storage stool.
Reuben Sofas, Sofa Beds and Chairs
This collection is the perfect all-rounder with compact proportions and neat angular arms. This modern design has a range of pieces that make it extremely versatile.
Reuben has 2 and 3-seater sofas and sofa beds, an armchair with low feet only, an accent chair with high legs only and an armless chair with high legs. There is also an ottoman, a footstool, legged ottoman and a storage stool.
