Sherborne Upholstery is three generations of family-owned British upholstery manufacturers. They produce distinctive and comfortable high-quality sofas, chairs, super-smooth recliners and adjustable beds.

Their comprehensive range of fireside chairs, high-seat chairs, recliner chairs, 2-seater and 3-seater sofas, and corner groups, are available to order from V. R. Flowers & Son. As one of their specialist stockists, you can ‘try before you buy’ in our store. Sherborne feels there is no substitute for making sure the fit is right, and that a website or brochure alone cannot ensure the model, and size, is the right one for you and your family or partner.

The business is one of the most successful upholstery companies in the UK using traditional craftsmanship and the finest materials. All seating is fully sprung, frames are glued and screwed with checks made at every stage of production. 

There is a choice of manual or smooth-action recliners with the latter being an easy two-button switch fitted to either side (or both sides of a settee). There is a rechargeable option if you prefer to go cableless on selected models. Please see us for more information.

Riser recliners come with single or dual motors and intelligent button control (touch stop system) to return to the seated position. All meet British Standards BS 8474 for safety, strength, stability and durability.  Sherborne’s recliners can be either manual or powered.

All leather furniture is made out of genuine hides. High-quality reflex seat cushions are used throughout.

Six fabric ranges are manufactured using Aquaclean technology, a revolutionary fabric treatment that allows stains to be cleaned using just water. This includes the worst household stains such as wine, ink, sauce, fat, mud, chocolate and cream. The protective coating also forms a barrier to prevent pets’ claws from fraying the fibres on four of the ranges. The Keswick Range – power recliners, sofas and chairs in fabric and leather.

The Keswick range is the most popular range, which is not surprising due to how comfortable it feels once you try it. The pieces are beautifully contoured with soft cushioning throughout and vary in size from a petite fixed armchair to a large power recliner. There are 2-seater, 3-seater and corner group settees with reclining options in both leather and fabric.

There is also a Keswick Classic range with wooden legs in natural or mahogany. 

Sofas, chairs and recliners – The Ashford Range

The modern Ashford range has an exceptionally comfortable back design, stylish wings and elegant scroll arms. It is available in many sizes in both soft covers and leather.

The range varies from the small, fixed chairs and petite riser recliners to the larger Royale leather electric riser-recliners and a comprehensive range of fixed and reclining sofas.

The attractive contoured scroll arms complement the soft, comfortable ‘chaise’ seat and a fibre-filled back cushion.

The Nevada – leather and fabric chairs, settees and recliners

Nevada was launched in 2018 and is incredibly popular with modern styling and soft ‘pillow’ arms. The kind of furniture that looks at home in any setting, whether in fabric or leather. 

The range varies from fixed chairs and settees to recliners and riser recliners which are built to fit your frame whether this is small, medium or large. 

Sofas, chairs and recliners – The Lynton Range

Sherborne’s Lynton range is more classic in design but does not look out of place in a contemporary home. It has comfortable deep-button backs and attractive scroll arms. Fireside pieces are also available to match a wide variety of fixed chairs, reclining chairs, settees (both fixed and reclining) and electric riser recliners. Fabric and leather options are available, as well as manual and powered action controls.
